Shia La Beouf

How did you know Shia LaBeouf? I remembered him as a Disney’s star in the children television series Even Stevens. I used to watch that show like I watched Hilary Duff in Lizzie McGuire. Now they’re both up and rising big stars in the movies industry. But what I like about Shia is the type of movies he gets involved in. You know, the big screen movies: Transformers and the latest sequel of Indiana Jones. I’ve watched his thriller Disturbia too. Not bad at all. He’s definitely the A-list actor of today.

So to honour that, I made a sketch of him.

I had a problem with the lighting of my room so had a hard time sketching this. Or maybe it’s just me. It’s been a while since my last sketch but I hope you recognize him here.

French Open 2008

I’m talking about tennis tournament here in case you are wondering. I really wish Novak Djokovic wins the Grand Slam coz he’s such a great player. He’s now proceeded to the 3rd Round and he’s currently 3rd seeded in world’s ranking. I wonder why Roger Federer always get all the attention? Whenever we talk about tennis, the first pro player that comes to your mind is most probably Federer. Just like David Beckham for soccer and Tiger Woods for golf. There’s always this one man that represents the sport.
I have to admit part of the reason why I like him is because he’s a hunk – tall, dark and handsome. But hunk aside, he’s a really talented tennis player. I’ve never played tennis before but I know a pro when I see one.

And don’t forget to check out Djokovic!

Random Sightings

Just feel like posting some random pictures I took in these past few days.

Random #1

Mum made sushi last week and I prepared the ingredients for her. See how nicely I set it up for her convenience?

Random #2

"Oh ~ Who live in a pineapple under the sea?"

"SpongeBob Squarepants!!"

My bro was playing with his watercolor and I just thought I’d paint something and this was what I came up with. And then I looked at it and thought it reminded me of SpongeBob opening theme. But I noticed SpongeBob has 3 trees instead of 2. You have to be a fan of SpongeBob to understand what I’m saying XP

Random #3

I went to Sungai Liang Recreational Park last Sunday and as a regular, I always come across this particular tree that is odd.

It’s in the middle of the trail. So I have to watch where I go or I might slam into the tree! I think they’re trying too hard to preserve the nature there! If you wanna preserve the nature, don’t build the trail. Otherwise, cut off the damn tree!

Not all areas have proper trails. Some are just dirt trails like the one my dad likes to follow.

That’s my dad. See, he just proved my point.

Random #4
This is a picture taken with my 2yrs old niece (my cousin’s daughter). She looked like she’s suffocating besides me -_-" Next time, I’m just gonna let her sit on my lap.
Alright, that’s about enough of my randomness. The next post will be more serious, I promise =D

Tae Bo

I went to the fitness centre again and this time, it’s an aerobic called Tae Bo. The word Tae Bo is a combination of tae kwon do and boxing. It’s like dancing with boxing movements and hell was I tortured in that session! We were asked to do sit ups and well, mine was more like head ups coz I can’t lift my body after doing 5! But the routine was interesting. A lot of fast boxing movements. I felt like Muhammad Ali but looked like an idiot -_-

Jamming With Dad

There was a problem with my guitar's cable. When I play, I have to sit very still and if I move, there would be no sound. You know, the kind I call 'loose cable'. So I had to change it.

Guitar - check!

I went to Ban Loong KB to buy a new cable. The guy checked it and tried out the new cable. The new one makes the guitar sound good, only a slight crackling sound is heard when the volume is up. I don't know much about electric stuff but as long as I can use it, it's good for me. The cable cost $17.90 which is great coz I thought it's more expensive than that.

I got home and my dad had a look at it and was satisfied with it. It's, after all, more durable. We're trying out the song 'Always' by Bon Jovi and dad's figuring out how to get the drum right. And it's a pity I can't play more than one instrument at a time. It's like we lack the bass, lead and vocals. Truth be told, there's only me and dad. My sis is busy, mum is not interested and my bro is a nuisance. Lol...dad's a good sport. He plays whatever I wanna play so that rules out old Chinese folk songs like the ones he always sings. But occasionally, I have to play classical songs like 'Have You Ever See The Rain' and 'Wonderful Tonight'. Oh, and after David Cook sang 'I Don't Want To Miss A Thing', I've been playing that too. It's a really good song.

David Cook is The Man!

David vs. David… Cook won!!! If you don’t know what I am talking about, you really should watch TV more.

I really didn’t expect it coz of the way Simon Cowell commented about Cook yesterday, it’s as if Archuleta would win and I was already giving up any hopes of Cook winning. So, wanna know what my house was like when Ryan Seacrest announced the winner? We were sitting in front of the TV, eyes glued to the screen…Ok, I was actually cooking Mie Sedaap which I think is not sedap at all. So anyway, Ryan went: “The winner is…. David” We held our breath. “Cook!”

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!” we screamed in triumph. Mum came running towards us asking what the commotion was all about. Lol…we were so emotional. But I’m so glad Cook won. He rocks man. Don’t get me wrong, Archuleta was great but he lacks flavor, you know. So if you still don’t know what I’m talking about, need I tell you more?

17 on 17th May

Shely had her birthday yesterday. There was just a small party at our home with an absurdly large cake. Anyhow, I made a ‘mountain’ of sushi which were poorly rolled and cut, but they were still swiped out in one night. I did not dare take photos of my ugly sushi so instead here’s a pic of some flavorings I used for the sushi!
And here’s Shely cutting her cake...

Shely, I hope you enjoy the party we throw ya. And thank you for already wearing the pyjamas I bought ya. LOL.

Happy Birthday also to MUM. That’s tomorrow and I’m still thinking what to get her. Maybe I’ll just tapao some food. Haha..I’m not a good cook. My mum’s better. So it’s kinda hard when it comes to her birthday. *wrecks brain* Oh, I’ll think of something. In the meantime, here’s mum on the right.

Days of Deffodils

As it turns out, I am a maid now, it's official. And I did watch SpongeBob eating 'rou gan' instead of Indomie. It's not so bad though. I'm watching American Idol right now. I love David Cook! He's so cool XD
I went dancing..Haha..it's unbelievable, even for me. Please don't imagine me shaking my booty. Not nice. Most of the time I look at the mirror staring in horror at the person staring back at me! By the way, I'm a horrible dancer. No talent at all. But I do it for fun. It's actually fun, you know. It's actually more like aerobic. My face was totally tomato-red after the class.
I finally went online to chat. It's really been a while. And I caught up with my friend Mijah. Remember the Olympus tough cam I posted once? Well, here's the picture. The quality is awesome. Thanks Mijah for the pic!

Mijah and me =)

It's Over!

After days of staring at numbers and equations, I can finally put my brain to rest. When my last paper for the day was over, I was totally exhausted. As if that wasn’t enough, I had to pack my stuff in my room. I’m moving out from the hostel tomorrow. Whew! I feel like I could just drop down and doze off right now. I get quite a few visitors passing by my room going ooohhh and ahhh, cos they still have exams and I guess they’re envious! Don’t worry, before you know it, it’s over. Just study well alright?

Bye bye uni, holiday here I come! Haha… as if it’s gonna be a blast. I’ll only end up being the maid at home or just poking around my sis room to disturb her or watching SpongeBob while eating Indomee. Boring life yea. But at least it’s like I’m meditating. No worrying about serious stuff. The most serious might be deciding what to eat for dinner =P Oh don’t worry, I’ve got plans XD

Mummy's Special Day

Happy Mother's Day to all mothers out there!

That includes you Ma! Not that you'll ever read this blog but you know that I love you. Least I can do is greet you for now since I'm not home. But I heard Sharon bought you a gift (shared by us 3) so I hope you like it (heard it's bodyshop's)

So I did greet my mum via text message. I wanted to call but I just thought it'd be awkward. So I texted her and she replied! She must've thought calling me is awkward too! Hehe..That's my relationship with my mum. Sadly, we're not very close. Nevertheless, I still love her and I really hope she had a great time celebrating this special day. Once again, Happy Mother's Day dear readers =)

Exam Update

Last paper is on Monday!

I just had my English paper. I just hope that this is the last time I'm sitting for it. I finished everything except the vocabulary question. That's like 12 words left blank. It's pretty bad but I just have to make the best of it.
I don't know why it is very quiet tonight... Sigh. Don't feel like studying.

Warning: Full Bladder

First off, to sis Sharon, congrats on your graduation! Sorry I wasn't able to attend the ceremony due to the exam. Wow, and you have a new phone too! Finally, it's about time you get rid of your old Nokia..

Today I had my Multivariate Calculus paper. It's harder than I thought. To tell you the truth, I had a really hard time concentrating cos right before the exam, I drank a whole cup of raspberry juice so I really had to go to the washroom. The funny thing is I went to the washroom twice before entering the examination hall but still feel the urge to pee after sitting down for less than half an hour. So I went to the washroom during the exam and when I get back to my paper, I realised I made a lot of mistakes and had to redo many parts. That's the result of loosing concentration. Anyway, right after the exam, I went to the washroom again! I think there's something wrong with my bladder. Remind me not to drink right before the next exam!

Exam Week

I've done three papers! Three more to go... These days I've been so tired coz I had to wake up early everyday for the past few days. By early, I mean 7.15am. Haha I know you think that's not really early but, in my dictionary, that's the definition. I'm so used to waking up at 11:00 to 12:00 so yeah, it's damn early.

The papers so far were..I dono, ok I guess. I think the toughest is gonna be Stats followed by English. I actually failed my English test pretty badly so I'm kinda worried. Oh well, gotta go study now. I'm actually at the library and this keyboard is such a noise pollution! Have to type sloooowwly so that I don't attract unwanted attention -_-

One Night

A few nights ago I was having trouble sleeping (happens all the time) so I just laid there staring at the rotating fan hanging from the ceiling. Then suddenly I saw a movement to my right. I turned just in time to see a creepy crawly disappeared behind the curtain. I didn’t mind at first. After about 20 minutes, I turned to face the wall and opened my eyes to find myself staring at that spider only inches away. I scrambled from my bed and nearly stumbled on the floor. It crawled along the wall and did a Spiderman-style swing to the fan control. It was so fast! Here’s a shot of the spider speeding across the wall.

It kept crawling in circles around the four walls. I already had trouble sleeping and it was just not helping. I tried shooing it out of the door but it was stubborn. After several failed attempts, I gave up. I pulled my bed to the center of the room and slept with the bed in that position for the rest of the night. The next day, the spider finally went out of the room to its own will. Anyway, here’s a close-up of the spider. It’s a beautiful spider in nature but apparently not when it’s on your room’s wall.

Basic

It’s been a while since I last watched American Idol. I’ve lost count of the finalists. Actually, is it over? I really have no idea. I love American Idol. I just never get to watch it coz I’m at hostel. Bummer! I did watch last season’s though. I’m still wondering how I managed to watched it…Love Blake coz his beat boxing is so cool!! This season, doesn’t seem to have any unique contestant I really like.

Singing is a talent I was sadly born without. I love singing. The only problem is I can’t sing. Wish I could. How do you do a vibrato? That seems so hard. My voice doesn’t seem to come with that ‘package’. It’s just simply flat. I like hearing good voices that give me goose bumps which explains why I like watching American Idol. I remembered when I joined vocal class I was the only one who couldn’t sing well. Everyone has different good quality voices and is unique in their own senses. There was this guy who actually sang the National Anthem and sang it so well! I remember in one of the earlier classes, I sang a Thai song. Lol. Yea I know it’s eccentric but that time I couldn’t think of any songs. I still sing that song sometimes while playing my guitar =P It’s fun to sing in different languages coz if my pronunciation is bad nobody knows *hehe
