Satisfaction

The competition’s getting tougher in American Idol. I kinda like Kris’s performance because “Man In The Mirror” is my favourite MJ’s song. But I’m torn between Adam Lambert and Danny Gokey. Danny serenades me with his rendition of Hero and Adam’s high note is excellent, and not to mention, he’s super hot ;D I hope they both make it to the final.

Next week is semester break, which means I’ll still be busy anyway so what’s the point? I’m now searching for cardboards and colored papers for my next assignment. I’m still scratching my head looking for ideas and I don’t even know where to start. I guess I’ll have to think of the materials first before I think of my choice of solid. It feels like doing a primary class project. Not that I’m saying it’s easy. It’s just like arts and craft, you know. It’s been a while and my cut-and-stick technique is getting rusty.

Bee-ach

20 21 22 23. Felt like a second has passed. Two max.

I have not studied for any of the three tests that are on the next three days because of the past three days. And here I am, chewing on pieces of guava while updating this piece of sheet. And I saw Roger Federer everywhere today. On ads and magazines, of course ;) I heard he’s playing a tournament this week. Last tournament update was Murray defeating Nadal in the final. Do you think Murray will climb higher up the rank by the end of the year? Hope not!

Pictures ahead!

We went to a beach party yesterday. The bouncer was so tempting.

Back In Time

Ask me to choose between history and math I choose history. Without history, there would be no story to tell and no lesson to learn. Without math, the world lives on. Unfortunately, I can’t actually stand by my point because of the irony of my situation.

Recently, I watched two movies and cried like hell – Australia and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. So I would like not to watch any more sad (sort of) tales for now. But there’s this movie I’ve been meaning to watch. It’s Clint Eastwood’s Changeling starring Angelina Jolie. I wonder if it’s good. Doesn’t matter. I’m going to watch it cause I trust Eastwood as a director and I like Angelina Jolie as an actress. Nothing comes in a package as good as this.

Quote of the day:

“…Bessel function, Legendre equation…ring a bell?” - Dr. S.

Sorry, bell’s broken and under repair.

Exhausted Inc.

There was a talk at the hostel by the fire and rescue department yesterday. We were shown the proper way to use a fire extinguisher. Well, if the fire did not burn me, the sun sure did. It was scorching hot and the heat from the gasoline burning did not help. But the talk and the demo was actually very quick. I thought we would be stuck there for a long time. Before I know it, I’m already at the sports complex for the regular ECA.

Also, I slipped and fell somewhere. It was totally painful and embarrassing. I’m glad you are not there to see it.

My Thoughts

On Flightless Bird:

I just got my first honest comment. And I really appreciate it. I mean, good comments aren’t going to get you any further. Only honest (and therefore bad) ones are those that will actually make you do better in the future. Honestly, I just did it for fun so good or bad, it’s not going to change anything. But I’m sorry if I spoil the song for you. That’s not my intention at all.

On today’s lecture:

I went in and out of focus during lecture today. It was just pure torture. I tried to listen though but it was like listening to a bedtime story. Let me make a guess here. The first lecturer talked about… I don’t remember. But there were many P’s and circles. The second lecturer I remembered better. He taught us curvilinear coordinates cos I was half listening. When I got back, I slept for 5 hours so I’m pretty sure I’m not going to be able to sleep tonight. I don’t even know if I can make it to class tomorrow.

Don't Cry For Me

I missed the Australian Open final last night because I went out with my family. But I kept checking the live score from my phone. I felt so disappointed with the final score. Federer came so close to winning. I guess the whole world (and that includes Pete Sampras) was watching and waiting eagerly for Federer to tie Sampras record of 14 Grand Slams. Better luck next time. Unfortunately, chances of Federer winning the next Grand Slam, French Open, is pretty slim because you have to face it, Nadal is still the King of Clay. But I hope he wins Wimbledon again. I heard he burst into tears when he lost. Aww…Too bad I didn’t get to watch it.

On a different note, something funny happened in class today that made me laughed in tears. I thought he fell down at first. Then I realized he just fell backwards when he tried to lie back on the chair. He was horizontal for a good two seconds before he came upright again. Then, he did the weirdest thing that, I think, triggered our laughter. He apologized and smiled and pretended nothing funny has happened. We sniggered in silence, not one person daring to LOL. And it lasted for 5 minutes or so. You don’t know how tortured I was from all that. I had to pull a straight face when I finally face him. You have to blame the broken chair for that. I hope the next person sitting on the chair wouldn’t attempt to lie down on it.
