Chap Goh Meh

Happy Chap Goh Meh everyone!

If you don't know what that is, it is a festive day we celebrate on the 15th day of Chinese New Year, which is also the last day of the CNY celebration. My family tradition for this day is very simple. Meal + firecrackers + lao sheng (which is quite new to us, actually). Without further ado, let me present you with some pictures.

We had to place this on the grown because it's either this or hang it on the tree which is quite dangerous. HSE, you know. LOL

And finally, lao sheng is a tradition quite popular in Singapore, where everyone mix a platter of finely chopped food for good luck, wealth and prosperity. I hope I got that right!

And it's back to reality tomorrow. There are a couple of things I need to do early morning and then a major thing that I need to get done later that day. I admit I'm quite nervous about this task. It's not something I normally do but it's a learning curve that I need to face sooner or later. There's really nothing that should hold me back, except there is the issue with my confidence. So I'm gonna make that a challenge: to overcome that fear. I know when I read this back later on, it'll sound like I'm exaggerating but at this moment, it feels right. Okay, to the bed-mobile! *mimicks mermaid-man*
